Ingredients

  • 1 lb. baby limas
  • water
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1/2 lb. ground chuck

Instructions

  1. Wash or soak the lima beans and cover them with water.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a skillet, then add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Cook the beans until tender, about 30 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, brown the ground chuck with chopped onions, salt, and pepper in another skillet.
  5. Drain the cooked beans and add them to the skillet with the ground meat and onions.
  6. Simmer everything together for an additional 30 minutes.
  7. Serve over rice with cornbread.
