Lipton Pot Roast

Ingredients

  • 3 to 3 1/2 lb. boneless pot roast
  • 1 envelope Lipton onion-mushroom soup mix
  • 2 1/2 c. water
  • 4 potatoes
  • 4 carrots

Instructions

  1. In Dutch oven, brown roast.
  2. Add soup mix blended with 2 cups water. Simmer, covered, turning occasionally, 2 hours.
  3. Cut potatoes into 1-inch pieces and slice carrots thinly.
  4. Add to roast and cook an additional 30 minutes until vegetables are tender.
  5. Remove roast and vegetables.
  6. Blend 1/2 cup water with flour. Stir into Dutch oven. Bring to a boil, then simmer, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  7. Makes 6 servings.
