Looed Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 2 c. water
  • 2 c. dark soy sauce
  • 1/2 c. dry sherry
  • 5 slices fresh ginger
  • 2 star anise flowers
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 lb. chicken wings, cut into 2 large joints
  • sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Boil together all ingredients except sesame oil.
  2. Simmer desired number of chicken wing pieces for 20 minutes. Cool in the liquid.
  3. Serve cold with a bit of sesame oil on top.
  4. Refrigerate and use sauce over and over. Replenish favorite flavors.
