Ingredients

  • 3 lb. pickling cucumbers
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 6 heads fresh dill
  • 3 c. vinegar
  • 3 c. water
  • 3 tsp. salt substitute

Instructions

  1. Wash the cucumbers thoroughly.
  2. Pack the cucumbers into sterilized jars.
  3. Place 1/2 clove of garlic and 1 head of dill in each jar.
  4. Heat the vinegar, water, and salt substitute in a saucepan until boiling.
  5. Pour the hot liquid over the cucumbers, leaving 1/2 inch head space in each jar.
  6. Adjust the lids on the jars.
  7. Process the jars in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes.
  8. Allow the pickles to ripen for 5 days before consuming.
