Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 3/4 c. fresh fruit (strawberries, peaches, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Melt butter into 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix 1 cup sugar, flour, baking powder and milk and pour over butter.
  3. Do not stir butter in.
  4. Top with fruit and sprinkle with 1 cup sugar (use less sugar if canned fruit is used).
  5. Bake 30 minutes at 350°.
