Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. white syrup
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp. maple flavoring
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 cup walnut halves

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, white syrup, water, and salt in a saucepan.
  2. Cook the mixture to soft-ball stage.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in butter and maple flavoring.
  4. Spoon the hot syrup mixture over walnut halves and coat evenly.
  5. Allow to cool and harden before serving.
