Instructions
- Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.
- Beat together margarine, yeast mixture, sugar, egg and salt.
- Add warm water and beat in flour gradually until dough is stiff.
- Turn onto floured board and knead well until elastic and smooth.
- Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk.
- Shape into loaves or rolls; place in greased pans.
- Cover and let rise until almost double.
- Bake in a 350° oven for 30 minutes for loaves, 20 minutes for rolls.
- Remove from pan and brush with melted butter.
