  • 5 oz Worcestershire sauce
  • garlic salt
  • 4 steaks of choice

Instructions

  1. 24 hours before grilling, mix salad dressing and Worcestershire sauce together in a plastic bag.
  2. Salt steaks with garlic salt and place into the bag.
  3. Make sure all steaks are thoroughly covered with the liquid mixture.
  4. Compress the bag to remove all air and tie the bag closed.
  5. Refrigerate until time to grill.
  6. Grill the steaks when ready and enjoy!

Tips & Substitutions

For a deeper flavor, consider adding fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme to the marinade. If you're short on time, let the steaks marinate for at least 2-4 hours instead of 24. For a lighter option, use a vinaigrette dressing instead of the Zesty Italian. Additionally, if you prefer a less salty flavor, you can reduce the amount of Worcestershire sauce.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the marinated grilled steaks with a side of grilled vegetables or a refreshing Lemon Delight Salad for a vibrant meal. A baked potato or garlic bread pairs wonderfully as well. For a complete dinner experience, consider serving with Room Mother'S Punch as a complimentary drink.

Storage & Reheating

Leftover marinated grilled steaks can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place the steaks in a skillet over medium heat, cooking for a few minutes on each side until warmed through. Alternatively, you can slice the cold steak and add it to salads or wraps for a quick meal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use chicken or pork instead of steak for this marinade?

Yes, this marinade works well with chicken and pork too! Just adjust the marinating time: chicken should marinate for at least 2-4 hours, while pork can benefit from a similar 12-24 hour soak to absorb the flavors.

What should I do if I don’t have Worcestershire sauce?

If you don't have Worcestershire sauce, you can substitute it with soy sauce mixed with a splash of vinegar or lemon juice. This will mimic the tangy and savory notes of Worcestershire, ensuring your marinade remains flavorful.

Is it necessary to use garlic salt, or can I use fresh garlic?

You can definitely use fresh garlic instead of garlic salt! Mince 2-3 cloves and mix them into the marinade for a fresher garlic flavor. Just be mindful of the salt content in your marinade, as fresh garlic doesn’t have the same saltiness as garlic salt.
