- In a medium saucepan, saute the onions in butter over medium heat for about two minutes. You want the onions to still have a little crisp to them.
- Add all other ingredients except the chicken broth and stir well until cream cheese is melted and beans are heated through.
- Slowly stir in the chicken broth until you get a creamy texture - not watered down. You may need more or less broth to reach the creamy texture.
- Heat thoroughly and enjoy as a side dish or as a warm dip served with your favorite corn or tortilla chips.
