- Combine the water and grits in a 2-quart casserole.
- Cover with lid or heavy plastic wrap and microwave on High for 4 minutes. Stir, turn and microwave 4 more minutes.
- Add cheese (cut into small pieces) and other ingredients.
- Microwave on High for 30 seconds; stir, then cook an additional 30 seconds.
- Let stand 1 minute; sprinkle paprika on top.
- Yields 4 servings, containing 135 calories per serving.
