Mint Tea from Morocco

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 teaspoons green tea (loose)
  • 13 cup sugar
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Pour water into a 2-quart glass bowl.
  2. Cover and microwave on high for 8 minutes until just boiling.
  3. Little bubbles will appear on the water surface.
  4. Add sugar, tea and mint leaves.
  5. Cover with a lid or plate and let steep for 4 to 5 minutes.
  6. Stir gently.
  7. Pour tea through a sieve into glasses.
