Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. boiling water
  • 6 c. plain flour
  • 3 eggs

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. Mix shortening, sugar, salt; then add boiling water.
  3. Add beaten eggs.
  4. Alternate adding flour and yeast mixture.
  5. Let double in size and use as a loaf or rolls. Shape and let rise again.
  6. Bake in 350° oven for 50 minutes for loaf or 30 minutes for rolls.
