Mother'S Yeast Bread

- Heat milk, butter, sugar and salt.
- Set aside to cool. Sprinkle yeast in cup of warm water.
- To first mixture, add egg, then flour and then yeast water.
- Knead until smooth and elastic. Place dough in a warm place after brushing with melted shortening. Cover and let rise until double in bulk.
- Knead again and make into two loaves or rolls.
- Let rise again.
- Bake at 325° about 40 minutes for bread.
- For rolls, bake at 375° until lightly brown.
