Ingredients

  • pecans
  • dates
  • flour
  • coconut
  • candied pineapple
  • milk
  • candied cherries

Instructions

  1. Chop fruit and nuts in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add coconut and mix well with hands.
  3. Add flour; mix.
  4. Add milk and mix well.
  5. Pack firmly in a 10-inch lightly greased loose bottom tube pan (line bottom with greased wax paper).
  6. If desired, decorate top with pecan halves and cherries.
  7. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 300°.
  8. Remove and run knife around edge and remove rim of pan.
  9. When barely warm, remove tube bottom and wax paper.
  10. Keeps indefinitely or freeze.
