Ingredients

  • 4 to 6 new potatoes
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. dried dill
  • 2 tsp. fresh dill
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 c. grated cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven if necessary and prepare the baking dish.
  2. Wash and drain the new potatoes, then slice them evenly.
  3. Layer the sliced potatoes in the baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle with salt, dill or other seasoning, and grated cheese.
  5. In a small bowl, mix milk and pour over the layered potatoes.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake until potatoes are tender, about 30-40 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake an additional 5-10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Serve hot as a comforting side dish.
