Orange (Or Lemon) Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 1 head broccoli, about 1 pound
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • fresh ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Wash and cut broccoli into florets.
  2. Bring about 1 cup of water to boil in a saucepan over high heat.
  3. Add broccoli florets, reduce heat to medium and cover.
  4. Cook until broccoli is crisp-tender and still bright green. About 5 minutes.
  5. Drain and return broccoli to pan.
  6. Add butter, orange juice, orange zest, salt and pepper.
  7. Toss together and heat through.
  8. Serve.
