Parsnips Casserole

Ingredients

  • 5 or 6 parsnips, peeled and sliced
  • 1 pt. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. fryings, butter or margarine
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 c. sugar

Instructions

  1. Cook parsnips in a deep pan with milk and fryings.
  2. Add salt, pepper and sugar.
  3. Cook until tender; mash like potatoes, put in a greased casserole dish.
  4. Add a few dots of butter or margarine; sprinkle with a little sugar.
  5. Bake at 350° until brown.
