Serve this delicious peach-plum jam on toast, scones, or biscuits for breakfast. It also makes a fantastic topping for yogurt or ice cream. Consider pairing it with a cheese platter featuring cream cheese or goat cheese for a balanced appetizer. It complements well with good frozen cucumber pickle for a refreshing contrast.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use other fruits to make this jam?

Absolutely! You can substitute or mix in other fruits like apricots or cherries. Just keep the total fruit weight similar to maintain the balance of sweetness and acidity, ensuring proper gelling with the pectin.

What should I do if my jam doesn't set?

If your jam is too runny, you can reheat it and add more pectin following the instructions on the package. Another option is to simmer the jam longer until it thickens, but be cautious not to overcook it.

How can I make this jam less sweet?

To reduce sweetness, you can cut back on the sugar by up to one cup, but this may affect the setting process. Consider using a sugar substitute designed for canning, or add a bit more pectin to help it set properly.
