Peanut Butter Hardtack

Ingredients

  • 3 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. white Karo syrup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 lb. 3 oz. peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, syrup and water in saucepan.
  2. With candy thermometer bring to 300°.
  3. In cast-iron skillet (buttered) add peanut butter.
  4. Add hot syrup and stir.
  5. Put on buttered cookie sheet.
  6. Cut into squares.
