Pecan Pie Surprise

Ingredients

  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 c. butter, melted
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Grease bottom and side of a 13 x 9-inch pan.
  2. Reserve 2/3 cup cake mix for filling.
  3. In large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, butter and egg.
  4. Mix until moist.
  5. Press into prepared pan.
  6. Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes until light golden brown.
  7. Meanwhile, prepare filling.
  8. Pour over partially baked crust.
  9. Sprinkle with 1 cup chopped pecans.
