Perfect Corn Bread Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • Self-rising corn meal mix

Instructions

  1. Beat egg and lowfat milk with butter and sufficient meal to make a fairly thin batter.
  2. Pour into a cool skillet that has been generously greased with Crisco shortening - don't use oil or possibly bread will stick.
  3. Bake at 450 degrees till golden.
