- Line a 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch jelly roll pan with waxed paper.
- Prepare the yellow cake mix as directed on the package.
- Bake the cake for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Turn the cake out onto a towel and peel off the waxed paper.
- Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Cut the cake into 1-inch squares.
- Place the cake squares on a cooling rack with waxed paper underneath.
- Heat the vanilla frosting slightly until thin enough to be poured to make the glaze.
- Add food coloring to a portion of the frosting if desired.
- Pour the colored or plain glaze over the cake squares.
