Ingredients

  • 6 large Rome apples
  • 4 Shredded Wheat blocks
  • 1 tsp apple pie spice
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Peel, core, and slice the apples.
  2. Mix the sliced apples with apple pie spice, vanilla, and lemon juice.
  3. Crush the Shredded Wheat blocks into small pieces.
  4. Spray a pie plate with Pam. Place a layer of crushed Shredded Wheat at the bottom.
  5. Cover the Shredded Wheat layer with the apple mixture.
  6. Add another layer of crushed Shredded Wheat on top of the apples.
  7. Spray lightly with Pam.
  8. Cover the pie loosely with foil.
  9. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
  10. Serve warm, optionally with nonfat frozen yogurt.
