Ingredients

  • 1 lb. cube steak
  • 3 Tbsp. Wesson oil
  • cornstarch
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 small tomato sauce
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Cut the steak into serving size pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a heavy skillet.
  3. Season the steak pieces with salt and pepper, then coat them in cornstarch.
  4. Brown the coated steak pieces in the hot oil.
  5. Add 1/2 cup water, chopped onion, and tomato sauce to the skillet.
  6. Cook on medium heat for 20 to 30 minutes, adding extra water if needed.
