  • 4 cups frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 package Durkee brown gravy mix
  • 1 (2.8 oz.) can Durkee French fried onions
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 (10 oz.) package frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 cup (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. In a shallow 1 1/2-quart baking dish, combine the thawed hash brown potatoes, oil of choice, and black pepper.
  2. Firmly press the mixture across the bottom and up the sides of the dish to form a shell.
  3. Bake uncovered at 400°F for 15 minutes.
