Ingredients

  • 9 c. water
  • 12 to 14 whole allspice
  • peel from 1/2 orange, cut into small strips
  • 1/2 c. lemon juice
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 9 small tea bags
  • 8 whole cloves
  • 2 c. water

Instructions

  1. Pour 9 cups water into 12-cup percolator.
  2. Put in basket tea bags, allspice, cloves and orange peel.
  3. Perk through one complete cycle.
  4. Remove basket and add remaining ingredients.
  5. Stir and heat thoroughly.
  6. Yields 13 cups.
