Ingredients

  • 2 c. apple juice
  • 4 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. margarine
  • 1/3 c. red cinnamon candies
  • 1 pouch (6 oz.) liquid pectin

Instructions

  1. Wash and sterilize canning jars and lids.
  2. In a large, heavy saucepan, combine apple juice and sugar.
  3. Stir well to dissolve the sugar.
  4. Add margarine and red cinnamon candies to the mixture.
  5. Stirring constantly, bring to a rolling boil over high heat.
  6. Stir in liquid pectin, stirring constantly.
  7. Return to a rolling boil and boil for 1 minute.
  8. Remove from heat and skim foam from the top of the mixture with a large metal spoon.
  9. Fill sterilized jars to within 1/4-inch of the top.
  10. Wipe jar rims and seal the jars.
  11. Store in the refrigerator.
