Rhubarb Dump Cake

A quick and easy rhubarb dump cake with a fruity, sweet-tart flavor, topped with cake mix and butter, perfect for casual gatherings or comforting desserts.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups rhubarb, chopped
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 ounces strawberry jello
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 package white or yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup oleo (melted butter)

Instructions

  1. Put chopped rhubarb in a 9 inch x 13 inch glass pan.
  2. Sprinkle sugar and strawberry jello over the rhubarb.
  3. Add water to the pan.
  4. Sprinkle cake mix evenly over the top of the mixture.
  5. Pour melted oleo (butter) over the cake mix.
  6. Optional: sprinkle nuts on top.
  7. Do not mix or stir the ingredients.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes.
  9. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
