Ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/3 cups water
  • 2 cups fragrant rose petals from pesticide-free blossoms
  • 1 teaspoon rose flower water
  • 1 (1 3/4 oz.) box pectin

Instructions

  1. In a large stockpot, combine sugar and water over medium-high heat; stir constantly until sugar dissolves.
  2. Stir petals and rose flower water into the syrup.
  3. Bring to a rolling boil.
  4. Add pectin; stir until dissolved.
  5. Bring to a rolling boil again and boil for 1 minute.
  6. Remove from heat; skim off foam.
  7. If desired, tint with food coloring.
  8. Pour into jars.
  9. Cool and store in refrigerator.
