Instructions
- Place fruit in a clean, large earthenware jar with a glass lid. Pour in sugar.
- Let sit until sugar melts and makes a sauce.
- Add rum until it stands 2 centimeters above the fruit.
- (With a real large jar, you can make a second layer by repeating first 3 steps.) Cover with lid and let stand for 14 days.
- Make sure alcohol stays above fruit level.
