Ingredients

  • 6 large unpeeled potatoes, sliced thin
  • 1 large onion, sliced thin
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Layer potatoes and onions in greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Mix butter, flour and milk together.
  2. Cook over low heat until thickened.
  3. Salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Pour over potatoes and onions.
  5. Bake at 350° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until vegetables are done.
  6. Can add leftover such as diced ham, smoked sausage, whole kernel corn, green peas or cooked carrots.
