- Stir the beaten egg yolks into the milk mixture.

- Stir in mint jelly until melted, then remove from heat.
- Stir in mint extract and green food coloring.
- Chill the mixture, stirring occasionally, until it mounds slightly when dropped from a spoon.
- Beat egg whites in a large bowl until stiff peaks form.
- Gradually add sugar and beat until stiff but not dry.
- Fold whipped topping into the gelatin mixture.
- Gently fold torn angel food cake into the gelatin mixture.
- Pour the mixture into a 12-cup mold.
- Chill for 4 hours or overnight.
- Unmold and serve.
