Ingredients

  • 2 cups Jiffy mix or Bisquick
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons shortening, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Combine the Jiffy mix or Bisquick, sugar, melted shortening, and milk to form a soft dough.
  2. Drop large tablespoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  3. Bake at 450°F for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Serve the shortcakes with fruit, mainly strawberries, on top.
