Simple Potato Soup

Ingredients

  • 4 to 5 medium-size potatoes
  • 1 medium-size onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt (or to taste)
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of potato soup
  • 1 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice potatoes and onion.
  2. Put potatoes, onion and salt in pan and cover with water.
  3. Cook until potatoes are tender, adding a little water if necessary.
  4. Empty can of soup into pan and add milk gradually (may not need all of it at this point). Stir ingredients together and continue cooking over low heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture is heated thoroughly.
  5. If soup appears too thick, add a small amount of milk until desired consistency is reached.
