Ingredients

  • 4 naval oranges
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup Amaretto

Instructions

  1. Peel the oranges and remove all the white pith.
  2. Slice the oranges into 1/3-inch thick slices.
  3. Arrange the orange slices overlapping on a serving platter.
  4. Sprinkle walnut halves over the orange slices.
  5. In a saucepan, heat the sugar, Amaretto, and water until the sugar dissolves and the syrup thickens slightly.
  6. Remove from heat and allow the syrup to cool.
  7. Pour the cooled syrup over the arranged oranges.
  8. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve.
