Ingredients

  • 1 baked pie shell or graham cracker crust
  • 2 pt. strawberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Crush 1 pint of strawberries and place them in a saucepan.
  2. Add sugar and cornstarch to the strawberries.
  3. Stir the mixture and bring to a boil.
  4. Simmer and boil for 1 minute.
  5. While the mixture cools, slice the remaining pint of strawberries and place them in the baked pie shell or graham cracker crust.
  6. Pour the cooked strawberry mixture over the sliced berries in the crust.
  7. Refrigerate the pie until chilled and ready to serve.
  8. Serve with a dollop of Cool Whip if desired.
