Ingredients

  • 1 gal. apple cider
  • 1 (6 oz.) can frozen concentrate orange juice
  • 7 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 1/2 tsp. whole cloves
  • 1 tsp. whole allspice

Instructions

  1. Combine apple cider and frozen orange juice concentrate in a small soup pot.
  2. Place cinnamon sticks, cloves, and allspice in a double layer of cheesecloth, tied with kitchen string.
  3. Lower the cheesecloth bag into the juice mixture.
  4. Simmer the mixture, covered, for 1 hour over low heat.
  5. Strain the cider if not using the cheesecloth bag.
  6. Serve warm; it can be reheated.
