Ingredients

  • 4 large Idaho baking potatoes
  • kosher coarse salt
  • vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pierce each potato several times with a fork.
  3. Coat the outside of each potato with vegetable oil.
  4. Place the coated potatoes into a Ziploc bag and roll them in coarse kosher or rock salt.
  5. Do not wrap the potatoes in foil.
  6. Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
