Steaks Stroganoff

Ingredients

  • 4 beef cubed steaks
  • 1 medium onion, sliced thin
  • 1 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1/2 c. dairy sour cream
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. In large skillet, cook and stir thinly sliced onion in 1 tablespoon margarine until tender.
  2. Remove onion and set aside. In same skillet add 1/4 cup shortening.
  3. Add floured steak and cook over medium heat until brown and crispy.
  4. Remove steaks and place on warm platter.
  5. Pour fat from skillet.
  6. Stir together onion, 1/2 cup sour cream and salt and pepper in skillet.
  7. Heat until fully warmed.
  8. Pour over steaks and serve.
