Ingredients

  • 4 or 5 medium yellow squash
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/3 to 1/2 stick oleo

Instructions

  1. Melt oleo in a heavy skillet over medium heat and add chopped onion.
  2. Cover and steam until the onion is tender.
  3. Cut the yellow squash into thick round slices and add to the skillet with the onion.
  4. Let the squash steam on low heat until tender, adding a little water if needed.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
