Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter and sugar.
  2. Add eggs one at a time.
  3. Beat well after each egg.
  4. Add dry ingredients.
  5. Add vanilla and lemon juice.
  6. Beat thoroughly.
  7. Bake in preheated oven at 350° for 1 hour or until tests done.
