Strawberry Filled Angel Cake

- Cut a 1/2-inch horizontal slice from the top of the cake.
- Carefully hollow out the remainder of the cake, leaving a 1/2-inch shell on the bottom and sides, including around the hole.
- Dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water.
- Add cold water or strawberry juice if using fresh strawberries or thawed frozen berries.
- Add additional water if necessary to make 2/3 cup total liquid.
- Add sliced strawberries to the gelatin mixture and chill until slightly thickened.
- Prepare Dream Whip or Cool Whip as directed after gelatin is slightly thickened.
- Blend 2 cups of Dream Whip or Cool Whip with the gelatin mixture until well combined.
- Spoon part of the gelatin mixture into the hollowed-out cake.
