Ingredients

  • 4 c. fresh strawberries
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Rinse, drain, and hull the strawberries.
  2. Add sugar to the strawberries and mash them.
  3. Stir in the buttermilk.
  4. Pour the mixture into refrigerator trays and freeze for 2 to 3 hours.
  5. Remove from trays and break into chunks.
  6. Beat with an electric beater until smooth.
  7. Refreeze until firm before serving.
