Super Easy Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • 6 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 5 slices white bread, crusts removed and cut into 3 strips
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 stick melted margarine
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Butter a 10 x 6-inch baking dish.
  2. Put apples in dish.
  3. Lay bread slices over apples, covering apples.
  4. Mix sugar, egg, margarine and vanilla; pour over bread.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes at 350°, or until apples are done and crust is brown.
  6. Top with grated Cheddar cheese as you remove pie from oven.
