Swedish Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 medium red cabbage
  • 2 to 3 apples
  • small amount of water
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Cut up cabbage and apples and cook 15 to 20 minutes in water until tender.
  2. Melt butter; add vinegar, sugar and seasonings. Heat 5 minutes.
  3. Pour water off cabbage and then pour the sauce on cabbage.
  4. Heat and serve.
