Sweet Cracker Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. anise seed
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. soft margarine
  • 1/4 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Combine first seven ingredients, mixing until able to form into dough.
  2. Roll out on greased cookie sheet.
  3. Cut into 2-inch squares. Sprinkle with sugar.
  4. Prick with a fork.
  5. Bake at 375° for 10 to 15 minutes or until light golden brown.
  6. Remove cookies from edge as they brown.
  7. Continue to bake remainder.
