Ingredients

  • 1 c. molasses
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 oz. chocolate

Instructions

  1. Boil molasses, sugar, vinegar and butter slowly until mixture hardens when tested in cold water.
  2. Stir gently as syrup thickens. Add vanilla.
  3. Pour on a buttered plate and cool.
  4. Cut in 1-inch squares.
  5. When cool, melt chocolate over warm water and dip the pieces in it.
  6. Cool on waxed paper.
