Instructions
- Boil molasses, sugar, vinegar and butter slowly until mixture hardens when tested in cold water.
- Stir gently as syrup thickens. Add vanilla.
- Pour on a buttered plate and cool.
- Cut in 1-inch squares.
- When cool, melt chocolate over warm water and dip the pieces in it.
- Cool on waxed paper.
