Tomatoes Gratin

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 6 large firm tomatoes, cored
  • 1/4 tsp. salt and pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. oregano
  • 2 Tbsp. caper
  • 1/4 c. breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°.
  2. Grease large baking dish with oil.
  3. Cut tomatoes crosswise into 1/2-inch slices.
  4. Layer 1/2 tomato slices in dish.
  5. Sprinkle with half spices.
  6. Repeat layers.
  7. Top with breadcrumbs; drizzle with oil.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes.
  9. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
  10. Makes 6 servings.
