- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
- In a large saucepan, cook the chocolate pudding and pie filling as directed on the package.
- Blend the dry cake mix into the hot pudding until well combined.
- Beat the mixture by hand or with a mixer for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Sprinkle the top with semi-sweet chocolate pieces and chopped nuts.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Top with whipped cream when ready to serve.
