Ingredients

  • 1 (4 oz.) box chocolate pudding and pie filling
  • 1 box sour cream chocolate fudge cake mix
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  3. In a large saucepan, cook the chocolate pudding and pie filling as directed on the package.
  4. Blend the dry cake mix into the hot pudding until well combined.
  5. Beat the mixture by hand or with a mixer for 1 to 2 minutes.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  7. Sprinkle the top with semi-sweet chocolate pieces and chopped nuts.
  8. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Top with whipped cream when ready to serve.
