Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. milk, scalded and cooled
  • 4 c. sifted flour
  • 1/4 c. lukewarm water
  • 6 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/4 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Soften yeast in lukewarm water.
  2. Blend together the sugar, salt and shortening.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well.
  4. Add lukewarm milk and yeast.
  5. Gradually add flour, mixing thoroughly until a smooth dough is formed.
